Study Swahili with Mwalimu Jecha

Mwalimu Jecha Haji Jecha is a native of Zanzibar, Tanzania, who has dedicated his professional career to the teaching of Swahili as a foreign language. He has over twenty-five years of experience in Swahili language instruction. Mwalimu Jecha was once a professor at the State University of Zanzibar’s Institute of Kiswahili and Foreign Languages. After retiring from that institution, he is now exclusively doing private lessons.

Mwalimu Jecha participated in the Language Flagship Program in the United States in 2009-2010. He taught Swahili at the University of Indiana at Bloomington over this period.
